Crumb rollers are often used as the last
element on multi-stage tillage equipment. Depending on the “task” of
the crumb roller, they are mounted either rigidly or with the help of a joint
on the frame. We only consider the movable joints that allow relative movement
to the frame.
These bearings are usually designed as
plain bearings.
Now the rubber-metal bushings of the
company Jörn come into play. These offer advantages over this classic solution.
The bushings allow swivel movement completely in a preloaded rubber body
without sliding and without friction, which has the following advantages.
– absolute maintenance-free
– Damping of load peaks (protection of equipment, frame and towing vehicle)
– Insensitivity to dirt (no gap where dirt could penetrate)
