Driving dynamics, driving comfort, noise insulation and safety are core issues in the construction of buses. Our rubber-metal parts are essential components in solving these challenges.
Stabilizers or roll supports are elastically mounted. At the stabilizer back, which tords during operation, they must be connected to the axle in a twist-soft manner. The handlebars are attached to the stabilizer eyes via elastic bushings.
Aggregates of any kind are elastically mounted in order
not to transmit vibrations in the unit to the vehicle and, conversely, not to
transmit vibration, e.g. from the road surface to the aggregate.
This increases both the service life of the vehicle and components
as well as the comfort for the users.
So you will find our rubber metal parts in a wide variety
of vehicles and aggregates. From the bearing of a fan to engine and
transmission mount combinations for tracked vehicles with heavy off-road use.
Bearings for handlebars of all kinds
For applications with only small twist angles, rubber-metal bushings are the first choice. Bearing of Panhard rods, trailing arms, wishbones, stabilizer core ……
New are some of these bearings, ball joints and slotted bushes with massive clamps, now also significantly reduced in weight available. Through a clever combination of different materials and manufacturing processes, these parts can also be presented even more cost-effectively with the same mechanical properties!

Jörn Engineering!
Buses play an important role in the transition to
sustainable mobility. In the age of electric cars, more electric buses are also
being used. The bus is an essential pillar for the environmentally friendly
mobility of the future and indispensable for economic growth and employment in
many regions of Europe.
The bus of tomorrow will be emission-free, quiet and
digitally networked. On-demand services and pooling models will make it possible
to match the mobility that people need, whether in the countryside or in the
city. This is where Jörn with its industry-specific products with great
sustainability is also used.
Currently, the buses still run on a mechanical basis with elastic bearings from
Jörn.
In the future, however, more and more mechatronic components will be found
there. These are also the sensor-monitored rubber-metal bearings with the Jörn
CMS, Condition Monitoring System.
In this way, bus transport actively helps to achieve the
ambitious climate targets by 2030.
In this video we want to inform you about the development
progress of lightweight design joints.
Additionally to the already showm lightweight spherical joints, now we can
offer also slitbushes with pin in a lightweight version. On slitbushes with
pins we can also reduce the weight up to a third. And in most cases with a
better price as classic designed joints!
Of course wih same dimensions an performance!
A marketing gag?
