The
X-mount allows a variety of connections.
The four rubber packages of the X-mounts are arranged symmetrically crosswise. In two of the three spatial directions, they are mainly loaded by pressure, in the third direction exclusively by thrust. If the rubber packages are perpendicular to each other, the spring constant of the bearing is the same in both directions of pressure. In the thrust direction, the bearing is much softer. Depending on the angle of the rubber packages to each other, different spring constants can be achieved in all three spatial directions. The X-mount is either prestressed by the dead weight of the component to be stored or the rubber packages are pressed together in the pressure direction during installation.
