Clutch elements transmit large torques. In doing so, they compensate for irregularities or decouple vibrations. The rubber bodies of the coupling elements are constructed differently depending on the task and the height of the torque to be transmitted.
The couplings currently transmit torques of
up to 120,000 Nm. The coupling shown above has two cylindrical rubber layers
that are under high preload. The transmission of the moment takes place in the
circumferential direction.
For example, versions based on the classic
Jörn slit bushing in short clutch arms or combinations of several segments,
which are pressed between any inner and outer part, are also possible.
