Pendulum axles are special axles that are mostly used in heavy-duty trailers. They oscillate around a special rubber-metal bearing in order to distribute the load of the axles, which are usually designed as double axles, evenly on the wheels.
As a rule, flange bushings are used here. For high gimbal loads, flange bushings with multi-layer fret surfaces are used.
The flanged bushing is a development of Jörn GmbH.
The flange bushing is ideal for high radial and axial
loads. It tolerates tilting moments with small deformations and allows large
angles of rotation.
The coil bush is a lightweight and cost-optimized
alternative to the dual bush for lower loads. As standard, it consists of a
steel insert in the form of a rolled tube or two half-shells, which are coated
on both sides with a rubber layer.
In this video, Mr. Reinke Gummi Metall presents parts
with special properties. From complex constructions to clever ideas, everything
is represented here. So have fun with the not so everyday rubber metal parts of
Jörn GmbH.
Have fun!
