Calibrated bushings are the simplest bushings. Their outer tubes are reduced in diameter by a calibration process so that shrinkage stresses are compensated after the vulcanization process and then the rubber packages are radially prestressed. However, considerable prestresses are only possible if the outer tube is not vulcanized, but is pushed on after vulcanization.
Our vulcanization plant
Here we show you our production plant in the Allgäu, the company Allgummi. Here we vulcanize our small and medium-sized series. The range goes from a few 10 pieces to several thousand per year. You will gain insights into the process of vulcanization, the pre-treatment of metals and also the storage of raw rubber. Unfortunately, the sound is not always good, that’s just how it is when you film during operation. Have fun!
