Cabins of commercial vehicles, construction machinery and agricultural machinery must be elastically mounted. Jörn cab bearings reduce vibrations and shocks and thus protect the operator and machine.
Best mounts for every application
Guide
and decoupling directions can be customized using various designs. In addition
to conventional cab bearings, Jörn GmbH also offers variants with additional
benefits. For example, cab bearings with integrated tilting function.
Guide characteristics in transverse and vertical direction. Depending on the desired stiffness ratios and the available installation space, there are different designs. (1)
Guide properties in transverse and longitudinal direction: Conical mounts are often used here. These are very rigid in two spatial directions, as the rubber body is subjected to pressure in these directions. In the third direction, the bearing is much softer. Depending on the requirements, cavities or kidneys can be inserted into the rubber body. Then the spring stiffness can be designed in one of the two radial directions independently of the right-angled spring stiffness. The preload is usually achieved by the dead weight of the cab to be stored. (2)
cabin mounts with tilting function
With Jörn slit bushings, elastically mounted tilting bearings can be realized.
- For medium loads: multi-layer, twist-soft bushings (max. ca. 70°)
- For high loads: twisting with the help of a sliding inner tube
For high loads and very large rotation angles, rubber-metal parts with sliding inner tubes are used for tilting bearings. The rubber body of these bearings is V-shaped. The spring stiffness in the direction of the V is adjusted via the angle.
Vibration control
cabin mounts from Jörn GmbH
Jörn GmbH has been
supplying mounts for decoupling vehicle cabins for decades. Today, Joern
presents some variants and discusses the technology. The spectrum ranges from
bearings of very light cabins to heavy duty applications. Among others, Jörn supplies
his bearings to Daimler, MAN and Fendt. But also special vehicles of all kinds
are equipped with Jörn bearings, such as fire engines. Have fun!
